I tried for 3 hours to get past Step 1 in that claim process. It's always the same: "invalid password or not under claim process". I tried various password lenght (10 - 20chars), alphanumerical, bolt, letter, Symbols again and again....no success. I was logged in until the lockdown that day so my account couldn't be hacked

Is there an updated status ? Most people i talked to cannot even get a response from the claim website.
I understand that everyone is trying to access the page, but a 60k user base isnt that big, are there other problems ? DDOS ?
An updated status would save us the hassles of 'keeping on trying'
Thanks

I got it all happening with zero errors just waiting on the ID side.
If you cant afford to loose in this game you shouldnt play. Its early days for something thats brand spanking new to this world of course there will be hickups and the big bankers cant have competition from bitcoin and I reckon thats why the mechanics of this hack is so strange the international banksters will try hard to stop this from maturing. So you whiners get out of bitcoin you dont have what it takes just yet, come back when its all nice and rosey for you.

Ya mine says that as well. I think one post would have done. Keep in mind guys this isn't a stock market or national bank running this, it's just a small operation that I'm sure had no idea how fast it would grow. Yes, they should have been prepared for this, but it seems to me they are trying, lets give them a minute to get their shit together alright. If you need your money right this minute, you probably should not have invested it in anything. It isn't the end of the world or the end of bitcoin, it's just what happens when something grows faster than it is ready for.

You can ignore lasagna's rant.
The people at mt.gox are good people, if all our coins and currency are preserved within our accounts not only should all current members stick with mt.gox but we should encourage membership because they really handled this situation well despite what members might think they know contrary.

@John,
This isn't about being able to "afford" to play the game. This is about having my assets locked up by a company without hardly a mouse fart about what has happened and/or is happening. Their story is suspect considering the database leak and users complaining of their coins missing only days prior to the attack. They've even belittled and maybe even libeled their own customers in public forums? I don't know, I'm not a lawyer. It's unprofessional at the least or total incompetence at the worst. There is about something that is seriously wrong with the company. I want no part in it.
I want out of here as soon as possible. And I'm still waiting. Hear the crickets?

You guys are so impatient, go do something else and come back later.
The sun still rises and sets - go for a walk or something.

If you're having trouble with the "The password for this account is invalid, or this account is not currently under claim process," make sure you're entering your login username where it says "Login", not your email.
If you are using all the correct information.. good luck, I hope it gets figured out.

Learn to read people: or this account is not currently under claim process.
You don't have to do anything because your account is safe.
I didn't got this message, and probably because I buyed coins that day so my account needs to be rolled back. Relax, you probably will be asked when MtGox is back online to change your pass and that's it

IF YOU'RE GETTING THE MESSAGE "The password for this account is invalid, or this account is not currently under claim process":
Reload the claim form. Don't enter your password, someone probably changed it. Click "Check here if you forgot it" instead. Then provide as much proof as you can.
